Rx-Link Browser

Rx-Link Browser is easy to use. It is a total re-write from our DOS software and our Windows software. It is written specifically for use in a Windows internet browser.  The front end is written in ASP and C# and the back end is SQL.  There are several major changes from the DOS software:

• The patient is admitted under a medical record number and stays permanently - all stays are listed under the medical record number.

• HL7 interface engine is built in to the software for ADT / CHARGES / ORDERS - each of these can be incoming or out-going.

• We have selected Thomson MICROMEDEX  as the vendor for clinical decision support and use their UltiMedex software for interaction/allergy checking.

• The system is designed to retain all records till disk space is full.

• No patient records are allowed to be deleted or changed without a copy of the changed record being kept.
